Matthews Rea is an award winning interior design studio based in Surrey and Hampshire
We create elegant, contemporary spaces designed to suit the needs of each client’s brief. Our team has a hands-on approach and we work closely with our clients to oversee projects from conception to completion.
Lauren Matthews founded the business in 2015 and the company’s reputation grew with projects in the United Kingdom and internationally. Louise Rea joined the company as Creative Director in 2019 and the business was renamed Matthews Rea to demonstrate the unified vision of the owners. The complementary skill sets of the partners allow them to approach residential, commercial, and hospitality projects with innovation and technical know-how.

LOUISE REA BA (HONS)
Creative Director
Louise Rea has worked in the design industry for over 20 years. She graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Three-Dimensional Design.
Louise has experience in both hospitality and high-end residential design and a deep understanding of furniture, lighting, fabrics and finishes. She is highly skilled at creating FF&E schemes and enjoys designing bespoke furniture and joinery.
As the Creative Director, Louise loves to work with artisans to create unique pieces for clients.

Managing Director
Lauren Matthews graduated with a First-Class Hons in Interior Architecture & Design.
Experienced in the high-end residential and commercial sectors, Lauren is an expert in Interior Architecture, space planning, and technical detailing.
Lauren has an eye for visualising a space three dimensionally and seeing its potential.
She enjoys building relationships with clients and making sure they are kept fully informed every step of the way.
