Matthews Rea is an award-winning interior design studio working on homes throughout Esher and the surrounding area. We are based a short drive away in Cobham, which makes site visits straightforward and keeps projects moving.
Interior Design for Esher Homes
Esher covers a wide range of property, from the large detached houses on the private estates through to Victorian and Edwardian homes closer to the high street, and newer developments around Esher and Claygate. The design approach differs considerably between them, and we shape each scheme around the building rather than applying a house style.
Our service covers interior architecture and design, technical drawings, full furniture, fixtures and equipment, bespoke joinery, custom furniture design and procurement. We can take on a single room or an entire property, and we work with clients from the first conversation through to installation.
How We Work
Every project begins with understanding how you actually live in the space. That sounds obvious, but it is the part most often skipped. Only once that is clear do we move to layouts, finishes and specification.
Clients are involved throughout, and are welcome at the studio to see samples and finishes in person during specification. Decisions made looking at a real fabric in daylight tend to be better decisions.
Selected Projects
Related work in our portfolio includes a private luxury home, a luxury new build home and a country cottage. The full collection is in our portfolio.
